Jarzinho Pieter: Curacao goalkeeper dies at team hotel before Haiti game

Curacao goalkeeper Jarzinho Pieter has expired the day before his team were expected to perform Haiti, regulating body Concacaf has stated.
Pieter, 31, died at the club in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The players have opted to proceed with all the Concacaf Nations League game“from homage“ to Pieter, who’d played 12 times for the Caribbean island.
A moment’s silence would be held before Tuesday’s game (23:00 BST) and until the rest of the games in the contest.
Pieter was performed for Curacao side Centro Dominguito and the back-up keeper to international team-mate Eloy Room.
The Curacao squad includes Oldham set Zeus de la Paz along with also his brother Juninho of Huddersfield, as well as Leandro Bacuna of both Cardiff and Gevaro Nepomuceno.
Leandro Bacuna paid tribute to his buddy and team-mate on Instagram describing him as with a“lovely heart“ and then“my brother from another mother“.
